Serving is essential to who we are as believers and allows us to love and see others in a different light. That’s why serving is one of our core values at Abundant Life. By actively participating in service, we not only strengthen our community but also grow spiritually. Engaging in acts of service helps us to better reflect the love and compassion of Christ in our daily lives and fosters a deeper connection with those around us.

To serve is to minister to others through the gifts and abilities that God gives us. But the effect is not only on the one receiving service but also on the one who serves.
Choosing to serve and get involved in biblical community builds a Christ-like character within us. It builds relationships and helps “stir up the gifts of God,” which become a light on the hill for others to see.

Serve Events are one-time opportunities to make a difference by serving at Abundant Life. Registration is required, and all participants will be asked to complete a background check.

Get ready—our annual Carnival is coming! Join us on Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 am–2:00 pm at the Lee’s Summit Campus. This is one of the biggest events of the year and an amazing opportunity to show our city the love of Jesus in a fun and exciting way!
There are three ways to get involved, and we don’t want you to miss out!
Join one of more than 650 volunteers helping create a fun, welcoming day for our community by serving before or during the Carnival.
Help keep the Carnival free for families by donating items during our collection dates on Sundays, August 9, 16, 23, 30, September 6 & 13, and Thursdays, September 3 & 10 (Blue Springs & Lee's Summit only). Blue Springs, Crossroads, Independence, and Johnson County campuses are collecting candy only, while Lee's Summit is collecting hot dogs, bottled water, name-brand soda, and candy.
Invite your friends, family, and neighbors by picking up invite cards in the lobby or sharing the Abundant Life Carnival Facebook Event on social media.
Join us for Game On!, a free Special Needs Ministry Respite event on Saturday, September 26, from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. at Abundant Life Lee’s Summit. Volunteers are needed to help create a fun, welcoming afternoon for individuals with special needs and their families through one-to-one buddies, games, crafts, sensory activities, hospitality, check-in, and sibling support. Volunteers should plan to arrive by 10:15 a.m. for check-in and a brief orientation.
