Carrie Weeda is creating a legacy among high school students by living humbly, serving others selflessly, and sacrificing to meet their needs.

In John 13, Jesus commands us to love one another just as He has loved us. People recognize us as Jesus’ disciples by our love for one another. Carrie has exemplified this by serving others through her teaching career and volunteering in youth ministry.

Adults impacted by Carrie’s example share the characteristics they’ve seen in her life. She asks intentional questions and sits with people in the highs and lows of life. Her humility and sacrificial serving are evident to her students and others around her.

Carrie’s example reminds us of the power of being obedient and available to God. As we read about the heroes of the faith in Hebrews 11, we can be reminded that the Hall of Faith continues to the present day. If we are faithful to be obedient to God and serve others, we can leave a legacy that continues long after we are gone.
