Love Our City is a day for us to be living proof of a loving God to a watching world. Together, we partner with a wide range of non-profits across the Kansas City metro to serve in practical, meaningful ways. From meeting real needs to showing up with willing hands and generous hearts. This day is about blessing our community through service and building relationships that reflect God’s love beyond the walls of the church.

We have partnered with various organizations throughout the Kansas City metro area, so locations will vary. Check out the list of non-profits we have partnered with for 2026 to find out the details.
When you register, you are signing up to serve alongside the organization. There will be a project leader assigned to each organization and project. They will contact you a few weeks out form the event to communicate all the details.
Yes, you need to register each person in your family. If you are serving with your Community Group, each person must register individually for the project.
Yes, a background check is required to serve with Love Our City. Background checks will be good for 2-years.

There is no cost to this event, but there is a $12 fee for a Serve Team t-shirt. Although, this is not required to serve, we highly recommend wearing a Serve Team t-shirt.

Not at all! While membership isn’t required to serve with Love Our City, we highly encourage everyone—whether you're new or have been attending for a while—to jump in and serve. It’s one of the best ways to get connected.
Projects are organized by campus to reflect their specific locations. While we encourage you to choose a project connected to the campus you attend, there are multiple opportunities to serve throughout the city at one of the other project sites.

If you’d like to serve in your community, start by finding a local partner. Look up nonprofits online, talk to friends and neighbors, and look for organizations that meet real needs—like families and children, schools, seniors, foster care, homelessness, or disability services—and that align with our church’s values. Then reach out, introduce yourself, share why you’d like to partner, and ask about next steps.
