Kids Week 2026 is Abundant Life Church’s summer Vacation Bible School (VBS) experience for kids entering 1st–6th grade (2026–2027 school year).
This year’s theme, Illumination Station, invites kids to discover that Jesus is the Light of the World — and what it means to believe in Him, belong to His family, and become more like Him.
For four exciting evenings, kids will experience high-energy worship, interactive Bible teaching, team games, creative crafts, and meaningful friendships in a safe and engaging environment.

Kids Week 2026 is one of the most impactful outreach events of the year at Abundant Life — and we can’t do it without you.
We have a big goal to disciple and engage more kids than ever before, and we need leaders who are willing to shine the Light.

Kids Week 2026 — Illumination Station — takes place in person at all four Abundant Life campuses: Johnson County (Overland Park), Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit, and Independence. You can also host or join a church house experience using our Launch Kit.
Kids entering 1st through 6th grade for the 2026–2027 school year are invited to join the fun, faith, games, and Bible teaching.
We highly recommend pre-registration so we know you’re coming and can prepare for your child’s arrival each night.
For the safety and discipleship focus of the program, we ask that parents check kids in and then return at pick-up time each night.
No! Kids Week is open to all kids entering 1st through 6th grade for the 2026–2027 school year. Invite your neighbors, friends, and family members
We use a secure check-in process and require background-checked volunteers in all group and activity areas, just like our weekly Abundant Life Kids environments.
Just their energy and excitement! Kids don’t need to bring anything else. (Optional items like water bottles are welcomed.)
We have roles for small group leaders, activity helpers, worship support, check-in teams, and more — no experience required. Sign up under the “Serve at Kids Week” section above.
