Whether they are newborns or newly graduated, all children can be dedicated to God.
Child Dedication is a time where we can celebrate parents making a commitment to raise their children in a God-honoring way.
Stand before God and the church and make a commitment to live with God’s Word in your heart
Accept responsibility as the primary faith trainer of your children
Acknowledge your children belong to God first and are given to you as a gift to steward, grow and develop
Commit to praying continually for your children to come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior
Commit to loving your children unconditionally as Jesus does
Child dedication is not baptism, nor does it impart salvation. Salvation happens when a child is old enough to make a decision on his or her own and the child chooses to receive Christ. From there, the child makes a decision to publicly declare their decision to follow Christ through baptism.
Four times a year, Abundant Life hosts a Child Dedication celebration at our campuses.
We invite the parents of the child to be dedicated on stage, where they are announced one by one.
The Pastor then leads the church in prayer over the families.
